Moving In mess and pics

Moved....

So we hired a truck and drove across the harbor bridge back to our old neck of the woods to meet my dad and load up the truck. You really do forget how much crap you own. Luckily we only had a few heavy things like the bed, sofa and weight set. The lift on the back of the truck came in handy.

Unloading was of course easier... but were unable to fit our bed base up the stairs, so we had to lift it over the front balcony of the terrace into the main bedroom. It sounds alot easier than it was ok!

We said goodbye to my old man and drove the truck to Bondi for one last load. Managed to return the truck not long before 5pm - just in time.

Picking up our keys

We have just been given the all clear from our solicitor that everything has been exchanged at settlement and and that we should contact the agent to go and pick up the keys. She has just emailed back saying you are welcome to come and meet me at 3pm - which is in like 30mins :)

Bring on moving boxes and furniture tomorrow - at least we were smart enough to hire a truck with a lift.

Our first post

We are both really excited as its only 2 more sleeps till we get the keys to our first ever home!
Our bank mortgage and first home owner grant are waiting with our solicitor, so everything is on track.

This blog is to hopefully portray our ideas on rennovations that will be made to our Terrace. We already are in the process of getting plans drawn up.
